Hey pookies,
Here are 3 useful ideas from the server. Each one is simple enough to use this week.
1. Make brainstorming calls lead to better ads.
MPC, Bakr, and Ary | 18 Sep

MPC (Creative Strategist $5M+ Spend) asked how to make brainstorming calls useful. He said freestyle calls can lack depth, while too much prep can turn the call into a speech.
Before the call, do 2 things
Ary (Creative Strategist $1M+ Spend) said every strategist should finish their data review and bring the ideas they plan to test that week. That gives the team real work to discuss.
Choose 1 job for the call
Bakr (Creative Strategist $500k+ Spend) said the call should focus on what the team needs most right now.
Build from current winners. Review those ads and discuss the strongest ways to extend them.
Improve planned concepts. Each strategist shares their ideas, then the team adds feedback.
Coach a newer strategist. Review their ideas and give them more direction.
Make it a team discussion
Bakr said the prepared ideas should start the discussion. Each person shares their work, then the team adds feedback. More experienced strategists can help newer people and still get fresh ideas for their own work.
Try it this week
Run your next call like this.
Name the 1 job the call needs to do.
Each strategist shares their data read and planned ideas.
The team gives feedback and improves the ideas together.
2. Make the ad answer one buyer doubt.
Shared by George Rose | 31 Aug

When the winning ads were compared with the losing ads, one pattern kept showing up.
The top pattern was answering a buyer doubt
One common doubt is how long until this works? A simple timeline ad answers that question before the buyer has to ask it.
The answer can be the whole ad, or one short part
You can build the full ad around that answer. You can also use it as one short part of a bigger ad.
Try it this week
Use this on the next ad.
Write down 1 doubt the buyer has.
If the doubt is about timing, give a timeline you can prove.
Use the answer as the full ad or one short part.
3. Start with a real moment in the buyer’s day.
Idea from Adam Taylor | Shared 24 Aug

Adam Taylor shared a simple way to find more ad ideas. Start with a moment in the buyer’s day. Bring in the product after the moment is clear.
Pick a moment the product could make better
Skincare. The morning after a bad night of sleep, when they need to look fresh.
A supplement. The middle of a hard workday, when their energy drops.
A fragrance. Getting ready for a date, when they want more confidence.
A posture product. The end of a long day at a desk, when they want less discomfort.
Keep the same outcome after the click
If the ad is about keeping your energy through a hard workday, the next page should stay focused on that goal. Product features should support it.
The ad, the pre-lander, and the product page should all lead to the same outcome.
Try it this week
Write 1 opening line today.
Name 1 real moment in the buyer’s day.
Open the ad with that moment.
Make sure every page after the click stays on the same idea.
